We will spend 30-45 minutes working together to assess your current fitness level, identify your short-term and long-term fitness goals, and map out a strategy to help you reach those goals.
If you decide to sign up for one or more personal training workout sessions, Krista will use your assessment results and the information you provide about the types of workouts that excite and motivate you to design a fitness training program specifically for you, to help you reach your fitness goals.
Each session will include exercises chosen specifically for you to improve your fitness level in one or more of the following areas: Flexibility, Cardiovascular Fitness, Core Strength, Overall Muscular Strength, Balance, Speed/Agility/Quickness.
For the first few sessions, the areas that we focus on during each workout will depend on your initial fitness assessment results and the fitness goals you identified during your initial session. For example, if your main goal is to lose weight, your workouts will be designed to improve your cardio fitness level and to help you burn as many calories as possible while you work out.
After each workout session, Krista will provide suggestions for 5-10 minute stretching, strengthening, and/or cardio fitness activities you can do any time at home or even during quiet times at work, so you can be working towards your fitness goals every day, not just when you're working out with your trainer or with a small group training class.
You should be able to use these re-assessments to see the improvements you've made in every aspect of your fitness training after each month of workouts. Your trainer will also use the monthly assessments to see how much stronger and more fit you've gotten, so she can make each month's workouts more challenging than the last!
